The Mushroom Science Story
Mushroom Science was founded in 1994 by John Seleen, He Xianguo, and Steven Bailey in an effort to introduce PSK (polysaccharide-K) to American health care practitioners. PSK is extracted from the medicinal mushroom, Coriolus Versicolor, and was the most potent extract available at the time.
Mushroom Science was the first company in North America to offer Coriolus Versicolor mushroom extracts matching the quality and polysaccharide content used in world-renowned Japanese research. We take great pride in continuing to offer Corioulus Versicolor extracts of the highest quality with guaranteed levels of polysaccharides.
Mushroom Science offers high quality hot water extracts. Hot water extraction is the method of preparation used in traditional herbal practice and studied in scientific research. Nearly all Mushroom Science products are prepared using a hot water extraction process and sold in an encapsulated powder form. Our MitakeGold 404 ® is hot water extracted and preserved in glycerin, offering an alcohol free liquid form supplement that provides an effective dose for immune support.
